Legislator Injured In Motor Accident

Julius Bugirwa Junjura, the Buhaguzi Member of parliament and four local journalists in Hoima are nursing injuries they sustained in a motor accident on Wednesday evening.
The other accident victims are Vincent Alinaitwe, a news reporter at Spice FM, Fredrick Makuru Omuhamba, a news anchor at Liberty Broadcasting service Fm, Sam Barongo, the news editor Hoima Fm, his reporter Silver Robert and Nicholas Kutusa, the driver of the ill fated vehicle.
The group was injured after the MP’s vehicle Pajero Registration number UAR 219/H lost control and overturned when the driver tried to dodge a cow at Kaziradindido hill, about a kilometer from Kikube trading center in Kiziranfumbi sub-county Hoima district. Junjura sustained injuries on the face, hands and legs while the journalists sustained severe bruises on the face.
Steven Muhoozi, the Hoima district traffic office says the MP and the journalists were returning from Kyangwali sub-county where they had gone to address residents from Bukinda and Kasonga parishes who were evicted from Kyangwali Refugee camp a fortnight ago. Muhoozi says the victims were rushed to Kikube health four in Kiziranfumbi where they received first Aid before they were transferred to Kabalege medical center.
