Kadaga at the Annual Conference of Speakers of African Parliaments at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa
The Conference unites speakers of Parliaments of African Union Member states.
Hon. Kadaga further noted that the development of clear connecting
road and rail networks and efficient airways are preconditions for
African integration and trade among the states.
“How can we trade amongst ourselves when we don’t even have
infrastructure? Do we have connecting roads and railways that link up
our countries? We need infrastructure to facilitate the movement of
African people and their goods,” Kadaga Explained to the speakers. The delegates noted the need to change the current status where Africa has been turned into a market. They resolved to encourage acquisition of technology to improve the manufacturing sectors on the continent.
